log_destination

A configuration parameter determining the destination logging facility

log_destination is a configuration parameter determining the destination logging facility or facilities.

log_destination was added in PostgreSQL 8.0.

Default value

The default value for log_destination is: stderr.

Permissible values

Permissible values for log_destination are:

  • stderr
  • csvlog
  • syslog
  • eventlog

Multiple values can be combined as a comma-separated list, e.g.:

log_destination = 'stderr,csvlog'
