A parameter controlling whether checksum failure should be ignored

ignore_checksum_failure is a configuration parameter determining whether a transaction should be aborted if a checksum failure is detected.

ignore_checksum_failure was added in PostgreSQL 9.3.

Default value

The default value for ignore_checksum_failure is: off.

This parameter is intended for development and debugging purposes, and may also be of use when attempting to recover a corrupted database. It should not be enabled normally, as it could lead to serious problems going unnoticed.

ignore_checksum_failure is only effective if data_checksums was enabled when the database cluster was initialised.
